Nine Genius DIY Costumes

Ain’t nobody got time (or the money) to go out and buy a $40 Halloween costume, especially in college. We’ve gathered up some super cute and pretty easy Halloween costumes that you can wear alone or with others that won’t break the bank but will still turn heads on Halloweekend.

Butterflies

If you’re feeling like floating this Halloween, this costume is easy-breezy-beautiful.

Jack Skellington and Sally

If you’ve got a boo, there are a multitude of couples costumes that you can take advantage of this year. What’s better on Halloween than The Nightmare Before Christmas?

Doe

Even without Brother Nature, you can be the dearest of them all. Simple makeup and some brown clothes and you might as well be Canela!

The Office

Not only is it easy, but it’s always iconic. Any office clothes you have lying around can easily be incorporated into an office costume.

Ice Cream Sundae

If you have a dog, this costume is perfect. Even if you don’t, you can easily look like a snack on Halloween.

Chucky

Overalls and a striped shirt? With a crazy look in your eyes, you’re already set with a costume.

Morton Salt Girl

A simple yellow dress isn’t hard to find and an umbrella is even less so – get a little salty and you’ve got a costume.

Rapunzel

Not only is this cute and easy, if you’ve got a frying pan with you – no one will mess with you.

Powerpuff Girls

If you have two friends and about 20 minutes, you can easily throw this costume together. Colorful tutus are sold at most Halloween stores and with tank tops and black tape, you’ve got the power.
